Wired cakes and wireless cookies

And there I’m back and relaxed after that days of hard work. The Weeekend was full of nice events. I met my cousin, and there was long time no see. She now lives in a small nice flat in Muenster with a very kind cohabitant, named Caroline. I had a long talk with her about DRM and RFID, its political influence and the social problems ascending from it. Its been a long time since i talked that free and open to someone wthout hving to fear being misjudged as someone who only focuses on small problems making them more important thant they are. Its been very nice to know that there are still people out there in the normal world of insanity, who are wondering about those things and know about the problems coming along with technology.

Then yestersay i tried out the DLink Wireless Equiptment, I bought for a small price. I wodered if the reception range given by D-Link for outdoor use was really 300 Meters. I installed the Test equip at my window and walked away with my notebook along the street. I measured the signal with a Cisco Aitonet 350, having a Ping running and chatting over SSH. I was 330 Meters away when the signal got unuseable first. Later me and Dominik installed it on his roof and measured 470 Meters with working and useable connecions using the shipped Dlink DWL-650+. Thise Devices are Crappy but have a lot of power :).

Today i’m going to visit my friend Carolin. She has birthday today and i bake a cacke foer her with all the stuff she likes. I really hope it tastes good. It was not much work but you don’t want to see the kitchen, when i worked there before. its like nuclear wasteland ;). So i had a lot of ceaning to do. Additionally il cut a small cherry tree purch from our tree and plant it into a nice pot. I hope she likes that.

But that wil all happen after work, which is 4:00pm. Now it 9:28am and theres still a lot of work to be done.

See you all, things are getting better. Theres nothing to fear about, even if theres trouble, everything gonna be alright. I’m sure about that.
